Frequently Asked Questions

  • A: No, I don’t believe in rigid, restrictive meal plans because they simply aren't sustainable for real life. Instead, we work together to build a personalized nutrition plan based on the healthy habits you already have. My goal is to teach you how to incorporate the foods you love with balance, creating a lifestyle change that lasts.

  • A: Absolutely not. Food is so much more than just fuel—it’s deeply tied to culture, celebration, and joy. I practice an "all foods fit" philosophy. My goal is to help you find a sustainable lifestyle that fits your schedule, budget, and tastes, meaning your favorite foods always have a place on your plate.

  • A: We keep food tracking simple, mindful, and stress-free. I utilize an interactive photo food journal where you can just snap a picture of your meals and send it directly to me through the Fay app. If you already prefer tracking macros or calories in a different app, a simple daily screenshot works perfectly for me.

  • A: In short: every Registered Dietitian is a nutritionist, but not every nutritionist is a Registered Dietitian. As an RD, I have completed a standardized university science degree, a rigorous 1,200+ hour supervised practice residency, and passed a national board exam. This allows me to provide evidence-based medical nutrition therapy, whereas the term "nutritionist" is legally unregulated in many places.

  • A: Yes. I provide targeted nutrition counseling for a wide variety of chronic conditions. I can help you manage diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, kidney disease, hypothyroidism, POTS, food allergies, and PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). I also specialize in teaching healthy eating on a budget and many other wellness goals.

  • A: Our first initial nutrition consultation is all about getting to know you. We’ll look at the big picture: your medical history, your current daily routine, your relationship with food, and your ultimate health goals. We won't try to change everything overnight. Instead, we'll map out a realistic, step-by-step game plan together.

  • A: My ultimate goal as a dietitian is to empower you with enough education that eventually you don’t need me anymore! However, true lifestyle and habit shifts take time. Most clients see the best, most sustainable results when we work together consistently for at least 3 to 6 months.

  • A: Yes! I currently see clients using health insurance across multiple states, including:
